Colonsay and Oransay Heritage Trust
The Trust was established in 1990 to promote Colonsay's heritage, both historical and natural, and was initially housed in the Old Waiting Room at Colonsay pier. In 2012 we acquired the use of the old Generator Shed at Port Mor as a temporary base, with the intention of building a dedicated visitor centre. As we work towards this, enthusiasm, membership and our collection grow. The visitors' book in our limited exhibition space illustrates the interest our exhibitions create and the small committee of 'enthusiastic amateurs' ensure a changing selection of exhibitions, events and activities throughout the summer months - please pay us a visit!
We welcome new members: full membership to those who live on the island and associate membership to those elsewhere. Thank you to all those already supporting us and an invitation to everyone else to come and join us:
