A lovely stone crofters cottage, on its own little site within the Kilchattan hamlet, sleeps. 4/5. It is arranged on 2 levels: on the ground floor there is a sitting room with a coal fire, a kitchen/dining room, as well as the bathroom. There is a washing machine and a hanging clothes dryer. Upstairs there are 2 bedroom: one double (with an extra bed for a child) and one twin, these are accessed by steep ladder style staircases.
The annual Roots and Grains Show will take place on Saturday 7th September at the village hall. Bring along your garden produce, baked goods and crafts for a fun afternoon.
The 7 pupils of Kilchattan Primary are on the hunt for a new Head Teacher. A social media campaing is now underway titled "7 children seek head teacher on remote Scottish island". The story has also been featured in the national media.
